Ala Peanut Butter Sandwiches!
Today I had a peanut butter and pickle sandwich for lunch. It sounds bizarre, but I've loved this combo since I was a kid -- the salty, crunchy sourness of the pickle is a perfect match for the sweet, creamy nuttiness of the PB. For best results, use white bread, lots of peanut butter, and kosher dill pickles (I like Strub's). Yum.

Strub's pickles are the best!

Holy Crap Alana! I havent' seen that sandwich since I was in high school!
A weekend treat for us was homemade submarine sandwiches but my brother hated luncheon meat (can anyone blame him?) so he improvised. His favourite at the time? Peanut butter, pickles, bacon, tomato and cheese.

I've heard of PB and bacon before, and even PB and cheese, but PB and tomato? I don't think I'd be able to handle the texture.
On the topic of weird PB combos, Cafe Mosaics has a Peanut Butter and Tofu Bacon sandwich that is pretty rad.

Finally! I'm not the only one! I love the pb&p sandwich...

Sweet! Just like hockeygirl and alana, I thought I was alone in my love for peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. They're delicious, cheap, and easy/quick to make. Plus, they're vegetarian compatible.
I've been experimenting with peanut butters and pickles lately, and I think I like Kraft PB paired with Bick's Polskie Ogorki pickles best. I had quite a few of them in August, when it was particularly warm out, and I didn't feel like cooking anything on the stove after work.
Power to the PB&P!

Take a pass on that.
I'm sure you've done this but my wife looked at me like I had 3 heads when I mentioned it so maybe not.
Grilled PB&J.

Grilled PB&J sounds tasty. I've never tried it, but I think I may have to try one for breakfast this weekend!
